PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To spin a special yarn which includes consecutive parts of different colors and raw materials while suppressing reduction in yarn strength at a supply start part of raw material fibers.SOLUTION: A draft device 10 includes: a first apron pair 12 and a second apron pair 13 which are provided so as to correspond to a plurality of respective fiber supply parts; a front roller 11 common to both of the apron pairs 12 and 13; and a controller 44 which changes the speeds of both of the apron pairs 12 and 13 according to preset conditions. When switching between the fiber supply parts, the controller 44 outputs a drive command for the apron pair corresponding to the fiber supply part which starts fiber supply to be driven at a speed lower than a speed during steady-state spinning for a prescribed period and then be shifted to the speed during the steady-state spinning. |
