PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder capable of improving the effect of complementing a dot to be formed by a defective nozzle being defective in the formation of the dot.SOLUTION: A recorder 1 comprises a plurality of complementary parts U1 for forming a complementary dot for complementing a dot to be formed by a defective nozzle LN and a selection part U2 for selecting any complementary part U1 from among the plurality of complementary parts U1. The plurality of complementary parts U1 include an alternative nozzle complementary part U1a for forming the complementary dot in a first raster RA1 by an alternative nozzle RN0 without using a vicinity formation nozzle RN10 and a combinational use complementary part U1c for forming the complementary dot in the first raster RA1 by an alternative nozzle RN0 and also forming the complementary dot in a second raster RA2 by the vicinity formation nozzle RN10. The plurality of complementary parts U1 may include a vicinity complementary part U1b for forming the complementary dot in the second raster RA2 by the vicinity formation nozzle RN10 without using the alternative nozzle RN0 instead of the alternative nozzle complementary part U1a. |
