JELLY-ROLL OF IMPROVED STRUCTURE AND SECONDARY BATTERY COMPRISING THE SAME

The present invention relates to jelly-roll having an improved structure and a secondary battery including the same. In a jelly-roll electrode assembly (″jelly-roll″) formed by being wound to be opposed by using a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separation membrane interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, a negative electrode exposing unit protrudes in a lower side of the negative electrode, a conductive foil coupled with a negative electrode tap is wrapped on an outer surface of the negative electrode exposing unit, and a finishing tape is wrapped on an outer surface of the conductive foil and jelly-roll electrode assembly. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a negative electrode exposing unit is formed on a jelly-roll electrode assembly, and a conductive foil is adhered on a finishing tape, so a position of a negative electrode tap may be freely adjusted and a secondary battery may be variously designed.
