This optical element material, which is used in devices for detecting infrared rays, is characterized in comprising a heat-curable amino resin composition configured from at least a base material and a curing agent, and in both the main chain of the base material and the main chain of the curing agent having a basic backbone comprising at least a saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon.
