PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that enables a user to accurately recognize compared with the conventional one that a recovery toner box has been filled with a recovery toner to the full.SOLUTION: Drum cleaners 15a to 15d and a belt cleaner 18 remove a residual toner remaining on photoreceptor drums 11a to 11d and an intermediate transfer belt 16 after transfer. The removed residual toner is recovered in a recovery toner box 30 as a recovery toner. An image forming apparatus calculates, as the amount of the recovery toner, a value of the total sum of the amount of a toner remaining on the photoreceptor drums 11a to 11d after transfer, the amount of a toner re-transferred to the photoreceptor drums 11b to 11d, and the amount of a toner remaining on the intermediate transfer belt 16 after transfer. |
