The method uses adhesive spacer elements (88) for ensuring a minimum bond line height between wind turbine blade components (80, 82). The adhesive spacer elements (88) are positioned between the blade components (80,82) prior to bonding, and act to define a buffer or space between the bonding surfaces (80a, 80b, 80c, 82a, 82b, 82c) of the respective blade components (80, 82), such that the adhesive bond line height between components (80, 82) can be effectively guaranteed without the need for accurate alignment and positioning techniques. |
