PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary train speed limit device that can surely and safely perform a temporary train speed limit that is required in response to rapid worsening of a weather condition and an installation work or the like such as repair or the like of a railroad 5 while utilizing a cost advantage as an advantage of a point type ATP system.SOLUTION: The temporary train speed limit device includes an information transmission path 1, ground devices 31 to 33 and an on-train device 7. The information transmission path 1 is installed across a plurality of train control sections D1 to D4 along a railroad 5, and transmits temporary speed limit information for instructing that train speed should be limited at a given section &Dgr;P of the train limit sections D1 to D4. The ground devices 31 to 33 are provided in the train control sections D1 to D4, and transmit the temporary speed limit information supplied from the information transmission path 1. The on-train device 7, when receiving the temporary speed limit information, generates a speed pattern based on temporary train-speed limited speed and controls the speed of a train so that the speed does not surpass the speed specified by the speed pattern. |
