PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, which is arranged by use of a lithium nickel manganese complex oxide of Spinel structure, and easy for lithium ions to go thereinto or out thereof, and which enables the enhancement in output characteristic.SOLUTION: A positive electrode active material for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries comprises a lithium transition metal complex oxide expressed by the following general formula: LiNiMnFeBO(where 1.00≤a≤1.30, 0.30≤x≤0.60, 0.003≤y≤0.200, and 0.003≤z≤0.200). |
