PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to suppress the occurrence of an event where unicast communication between a communication device and an external device cannot be performed after a device driver for the use of an external device is installed in the communication device.SOLUTION: A terminal device TE, when judging that the value of the network address part of an IPte is not coincident with the value of the network address part of an IPpr (T16), transmits a setting packet to a printer PR (T20). After a new IP address (i.e. IPca1) is set, the terminal device TE installs a printer driver 32 as the IP address of the printer PR, in place of the IPpr (T42). The new IP address includes the value of a network address part which is coincident with the value of the network address part of the IPpr. |
