PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection unit and a hot water supply system, which do not easily affected by a foreign matter.SOLUTION: A detection unit 68 is provided with: a body 93 in which a connection point 111 between a first flow pass 105 and a second flow pass 109 is provided; an impeller 120 that has a rotational shaft 118 along a shaft line of the first flow pass 105 and rotates along with a flow of warm water passing through the first flow pass 105; shaft bearings 124, 126 that are provided on the upper stream side than the connection point 111 in the first flow pass 105, the shaft bearings 124, 126 rotatably supporting the rotational shaft 118; a detection part for detecting the rotational state of the impeller 120; and a vortex flow induction structure which is formed by a flow pass connection structure that is provided on the upper stream side than the connection point 111 in the second flow pass 109, the vortex flow induction structure guiding the fluid flowing in the second flow pass 109 toward the connection point 111 to a position deviated to one side of the shaft line of the first flow pass 105 so as to cause a vortex flow swirling around the shaft line on the upper stream side than the connection point 111 in the first flow pass 105 to be generated. |
