The present invention provides a packaging assembly (100) for packaging one or more articles (C), comprising: a container (1) having an inner compartment (4) configured to receive and accommodate an article (C) therein and an opening (17') for accessing the compartment (4); a cover member (7) mounted on the container (1) and movable between a closed position to prevent access to the compartment (4) and an open position to permit access to the compartment (4); and a mechanism that is configured to move the cover member (7) from the open position to the closed position upon insertion of an article (C) into the compartment (4).
