399,832. Control of D.C. motors. GRAY; W. T., Darroch, Wainwright Road, Altrincham, Cheshire, and ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd., Crown House Aldwych, London. April 4, 1932, No. 9632. [Class 38 (iii).] Compound-wound motors A1, A2 are changed from series to parallel connection by opening switches R1 and TRS, and closing switches P and G, thereby connecting the motors in parallel and shunting them directly by a resistance TR. The switch S is then opened, and the unshunted motors remain connected in parallel. The connections are made and broken in the reverse order when the change from parallel to series is effected.
