Provided is a method for using a network node and spectrum resource, said method comprising: a first network node monitors a second system message broadcast by a second network node using an unlicensed spectrum; if at least one second system message is detected, then a second broadcast time occupied by said second system message each time it is broadcast, as well as the manner of use of said unlicensed spectrum, is obtained from the detected second system message; at times other than the second broadcast time, the first broadcast time occupied by the first system message each time it is broadcast is selected, so that said first system message is broadcast within said first broadcast time; according to the manner of use of the unlicensed spectrum, the time available to the first network node to use said unlicensed spectrum is determined, and the unlicensed spectrum is used, within the available time, for communicating with the user equipment; the available time is the length of the time, during each resource usage period, other than said first broadcast time and said second broadcast time.
