An active matrix (AM) organic light-emitting diode (OLED) array substrate, comprising a substrate; a plurality of pixel units arranged in an array on the substrate, each pixel unit comprising a thin film transistor, an OLED and a storage capacitor lower polar plate, the storage capacitor lower polar plate being disposed above the gate electrode of the thin film transistor and being electrically connected to the thin film transistor; a pixel boundary layer separating two neighboring pixel units; and a storage capacitor upper polar plate disposed on the pixel definition layer; and the storage capacitor upper polar plate and the storage capacitor lower polar plate are separated by the pixel boundary layer.
