PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that reduces the amount of color material used for recording, and increases the number of reuse of a recording medium.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image processing unit 101 which performs conversion processing for converting information concerning brightness of input image data into information brighter than the brightness of the input image data without changing hue; a first recording unit 102 that records the image data on a recording medium with non-erasable first color material; and a second recording unit 103 that records the image data on the recording medium with erasable second color material, where the image data is subjected to the conversion processing into the bright information by the image processing unit without changing the hue. |
