PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure capable of suppressing an increase in a pressure loss and excess accumulation of soot or ash, and capable of suppressing deterioration in structural strength.SOLUTION: A honeycomb structure 50 includes a honeycomb structure part having partition walls 9 defining and forming a plurality of cells 7 extending from a first end surface 3 to a second end surface 5, and an outer peripheral wall 31. The cells 7 are surrounded and formed by partition walls 9 which are concentrically formed about a center axis Z of the honeycomb structure part 10 and partition walls 9 which extend in a radial direction from the center axis Z, in a cross section vertical to the center axis Z of the honeycomb structure part 10, and a flow passage length of the cell 7 from the first end surface 3 to the second end surface 5 at least in the cell 7 located at the outermost circumference of the honeycomb structure part 10 is longer than a distance between the first end surface 3 and the second end surface 5. |
