<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that flapping of a paper sheet upon conveyance of the paper sheet or the like causes the accuracy of measurement of a paper sheet length to be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet length measuring device 100 includes contact members 21 and 22 which come into contact with the conveyed paper sheet P. In the device, a length in a conveyance direction of the paper sheet P is measured by outputs of displacement detection sensors 11 and 12 for detecting displacement of the contact members 21 and 22 and an output of a conveyance amount measuring device 15 for measuring a conveyance amount of the paper sheet P. The contact members 21 and 21 which are biased by the conveyed paper sheet P to come into contact with the paper sheet suppress the flapping of the paper sheet P, and thereby the accuracy of measurement of the paper sheet is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
