<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide connection structure that reduces a manufacturing load of choke formation and implements reduced dimensions in choke design by improving the degree of freedom in choke design. <P>SOLUTION: The waveguide connection structure includes a first metal member 1a, a second metal member 1b, and a flat base 5 including a dielectric layer. The base 5 has a waveguide path 4 connected to a first waveguide 3a, and a dielectric path extended in a direction perpendicular to the direction of extension of the waveguide path 4 and connected to the waveguide path. The first metal member 1a and/or the second metal member 1b has a circular groove 2a. A relationship of L×√εr+H≈nλg/2 and a relationship of L×√εr≠kλg/4 are satisfied, whereλg is a free space wavelength of a transmitted electromagnetic wave,εr is a dielectric constant of the dielectric layer, L is a dimension from an outer perimeter of the waveguide path 4 to a point of connection of the dielectric path and the circular groove 2a, H is a dimension of the circular groove 2a in the direction of extension, n is an integer of one or greater, and k is an odd number of one or greater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
