PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an aromatic dicarboxylic acid stably and continuously by discharging wet cake of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid stably out of a container and transferring.SOLUTION: A method of producing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid is based on liquid phase oxidation of a dialkyl aromatic hydrocarbon with molecular oxygen in a reaction medium and includes a transfer step of receiving, in a container, wet cake containing the aromatic dicarboxylic acid and liquid substances produced by the liquid phase oxidation and transferring the wet cake out of the container. The fluctuation range of the pressure difference between the pressure of the inside of the container and the pressure of the outside of the container, or the destination of the transfer step, is kept within the ±0.2 MPa range. |
