PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric having both rigidity and flexibility, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric comprises highly crimped fibers as a main constituent in which crimping of latent crimpable fibers is developed, has a 10% modulus tenacity of 5-60 N/(5 cm width) in a lengthwise direction, and can be suitably used as a skin plaster base cloth. Such a nonwoven fabric can be produced by forming a fiber web comprising latent crimpable fibers as a main constituent, and then developing crimping of the latent crimpable fibers to make them into highly crimped fibers and to construct an area of the fiber web by 5-40%. |
