PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch joint for preventing an operability of a seal plug from being reduced.SOLUTION: A branch joint of this invention comprises an arcuate-shaped plate saddle part fixed to an outer circumferential surface of a main pipe; a branched cylinder part integrally formed with the saddle part and formed with a female thread at its inner circumferential surface; a cylindrical pipe connection part integrally formed with an outer circumferential surface of the branch cylinder part; and seal plug 20 arranged in the branch cylinder part in such a way that it can move forward or rearward in an axial line direction of the branch cylinder part. The seal plug 20 is formed with a male thread part 16 at its outer circumferential surface that is engaged with the female thread, and a tool insertion hole 24 recessed from an upper end 20a along an axis line O2 of the seal plug 20 and formed with a tool engaging part 25 that can be engaged with a tool J for rotating the seal plug 20 within the branch cylinder part. The tool engaging part 25 comprises a first engaging part 26 formed into a size corresponding to the tool J and the second engaging part 30 of which shape is similar to that of the first engaging part 26 and of which size is expanded in respect to the first engaging part 26. |
