PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a forged member, enabling forging, sufficient hardening and tempering of a steel material to be simultaneously performed.SOLUTION: A steel material satisfying Mn≥1.6 is heated to the heating temperature T(°C) satisfying 986-50×Mn<T<T, where Mnis an Mn equivalent of the steel material, and Tis a melting point (°C) of the steel material. After forming a raw blank by regularly forming the steel material, the raw blank is pressed by a metal mold in such a manner that the hardening starting temperature T(°C) satisfies 986-50×Mn≤T≤T, and the hardening finish temperature T(°C) satisfies 184-62×Mn≤T≤373-76.2×Mnand an average cooling speed V(°C/s) between the temperature T-Tsatisfies V≥21-6.2×Mn, and the raw blank is forged in a predetermined shape, and is quenched at the same time. After finishing die quench, a forged member is air-cooled. |
