PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further achieve a reduction in size in a configuration comprising a reverse path reversing a medium, a path switching back the medium and a face-down discharge path finally discharging the medium with a surface being subjected to recording and laid on the surface.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a first transportation path being a transportation path transporting a medium, passing through a recording section performing recording on the medium and extending to an upstream side and a downstream side of the recording section; a second transportation path being a transportation path connected to the first transportation path, feeding the medium passing through the recording section, subsequently switching back the medium and transporting the medium in an opposite direction to a feeding direction; a third transportation path being a transportation path connected to the second transportation path, causing the medium transported in the opposite direction to bypass an upper side of the recording section, reversing the medium and causing the medium to be confluent with the upstream side of the recording section in the first transportation path; and a fourth transportation path being a transportation path connected to the first transportation path and curving, reversing and discharging the medium passing through the recording section. The second transportation path is formed along the fourth transportation path. |
