PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating body for cargo marine relay or the like in which only part of ships is made compatible with a high environmental regulation and is made to pass through an environmental regulation area, and other ships are made as the ships of non-environmental regulation area specification and are made to pass through only the non-environmental regulation area, and thereby a ship procurement cost can be suppressed low in a fleet plan.SOLUTION: A floating body 10 for cargo marine relay includes: a cargo space 11; a ship locking mechanism 12 for bringing ships 1, 2 into aboardage or mooring; a cargo handling mechanism 13 for transferring cargo between the ships 1, 2 being brought into aboardage or mooring with the ship locking mechanism 12 and the cargo space 11; a position holding mechanism 14; a posture control mechanism 15 for controlling the posture; and a power supply mechanism 16 for activating the cargo handling mechanism 13 and the posture control mechanism 15, and a propulsion device for movement is not included.
