PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical plane travel device capable of achieving weight saving and cost reduction.SOLUTION: A device body A comprises: a pair of facing Y axis rails 1, 2; and a pair of facing X axis rails 3, 4. The device A further comprises a pair of Y direction movable bodies my1, my2 capable of moving relative to the device body along the pair of Y axis rails. The pair of Y direction movable bodies moves in an integrated state in a same direction. The device body A further comprises a pair of X direction movable bodies mx1, mx2 capable of moving relative to the device body along the pair of X axis rails. The pair of X direction movable bodies moves in an integrated state in a same direction. The Y direction movable bodies and X direction movable bodies have suckers 41, 42 for exhibiting suction force to a vertical plane such as an outer wall of building, vacuum pumps 45, 46 for maintaining insides of the suckers in a vacuum state, and vacuum breakage electromagnetic valves 47, 48 for breaking the vacuum state in the suckers, respectively. |
