PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor manufacturing method capable of filling with a thermoplastic resin material with certainty while shortening a manufacturing time.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a rotor 3 having a rotor core 30 that comprises a plurality of respective slots of a first slot 31, a second slot and, a third slot for magnet insertion, includes: a magnet insertion step of inserting magnets 36 into the respective slots of the rotor core 30; and a filling step of injecting a thermoplastic resin material between an inner wall of each slot and an external surface of the magnet 36 to fill it. The filling step includes: a heating step of making a heating mold 70 contact with an outer peripheral surface of the rotor core 30 from the radial outside of the rotor core 30 to heat the rotor core 30 by the heating mold 70; and an injection step of injecting the thermoplastic resin material while heating the rotor core 30 by the heating mold 70 in a state where the heating mold 70 is made contact with the rotor core 30. |
