PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for achieving efficient broadcasting.SOLUTION: A generation unit 76 generates a packet for synchronization information including the synchronization information, on the basis of a clock from an oscillator 70. A transmission unit 80 transmits the packet for synchronization information thus generated. A first input section 72 and a second input section 74 input a packet for content to be multiplexed with the packet for synchronization information transmitted from the transmission unit 80, and including a content, from an encoder of another configuration. The transmission unit 80 transmits the packet for synchronization information, even if the first input section 72 and second input section 74 are not yet inputting the packet for content. |
