PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder such that recording conditions suitable to a recorded medium can be automatically set not by subjectively viewing and determining an image formed on the recorded medium, but by objectively and quantitatively evaluating the image.SOLUTION: An evaluation image is formed on a recorded medium while recording conditions are changed, color image on lightness is extracted by reading the formed image by an imaging device etc., so as to calculate an evaluation value indicative of the quality of the evaluation image from the color information, and the evaluation value and an acceptance determination threshold are compared with each other so as to find recording conditions in which a decrease in picture quality such as microbeading is not caused from the comparison result and recording conditions corresponding thereto. |
