The invention relates to a water treatment system and to a corresponding method for removing impurities from water. The system comprises at least two parallel-connected UV reactors, an inlet channel and an outlet channel for conveying the water being treated into and out from the system, branch channels for distributing and conveying the water of the inlet channel to the UV reactors, collector channels for conveying and combining the water from the UV reactors into the outlet channel, and in the flow direction before the UV reactors a filter for removing larger impurities from the water. According to the invention, in the water flow direction before each UV reactor there is a UV-reactor-specific flow equalizing plate provided with a unique flow hole combination for conveying the water flow of the inlet channel equally to the UV reactors and for providing a uniform flow field within the UV reactor. |
