The invention relates to a method for assembling a module for a motor vehicle engine, said module comprising at least one support structure having bearing receptacles and at least one camshaft rotatably supported in the bearing receptacles, wherein in the course of the assembly of the module, the camshaft is constructed from a support shaft designed as a hollow shaft at least in some sections and components to be connected to the support shaft at predetermined joining positions (20), wherein the cavity of the support shaft extends at least partially under the joining position of the components on the support shaft, and wherein the components have passage openings in order to accommodate the support shaft, comprising the following steps: providing the support structure having the bearing receptacles, positioning the components to be fastened to the support shaft in a predetermined sequence in such a way that the components are arranged in such a way that the passage openings of the components are aligned with the bearing receptacles of the support structure, sliding the support shaft through the bearing receptacles of the support structure and the passage openings of the components, wherein the components are prepositioned in positions that do not correspond to the joining positions that the components assume on the completely constructed camshaft; after the support shaft has been slid through the bearing receptacles and the passage openings, at least for a partial region of the joining position the diameter of the support shaft is enlarged by means of an internal-pressure shaping method, the components are displaced along the support shaft to the respective joining positions of the components on the support shaft, and/or the support shaft is axially displaced, such that the components reach their respective joining positions on the support shaft. |
