PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reduction fo a storage data capacity in an image processing device.SOLUTION: An image processing device has a differential data generator for encoding business-forms data with a first compression parameter, and generating different data between the encoded business-forms data and a business-forms format corresponding to the business-forms data, a character recognizer for decoding the differential data generated by the differential data generator and character-recognizing the business-forms data and the decoded data, a character recognition result determining unit for comparing character recognition results obtained by the character recognizer and determining whether the compared character recognition results are coincident with each other, and a differential data output unit for outputting the differential data when the character recognition results are determined to be coincident with each other by the character recognition result determining unit. The character recognition result determining unit makes the differential data generator generate the differential data with a second compression parameter lower in the compressibility than the first compression parameter when the character recognition results are not coincident with each other. |
