PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a steam turbine component that can improve erosion resistance of a steam turbine component, and to provide a steam turbine component.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a steam turbine component that manufactures a steam turbine component constituting a steam turbine includes: a thermal spray coating forming step of forming a thermal spray coating at a surface of the steam turbine component using a thermal spray material including CrCpowder and a metallic binder comprising Ni powder and Cr powder; a coating forming step where the steam turbine component is subjected to pack cementation of either carburization or chromizing process after the thermal spray coating forming step to form a coating at a surface of the thermal spray coating. |
