<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of improving the determination accuracy of an interacting state between a vehicle passenger and a steering wheel.SOLUTION: A device 1 of the present invention comprises: a pair of conductors 11 disposed in each of a plurality of partition regions R1 to R12 into which a steering wheel 2 is partitioned in a circumferential direction of the steering wheel 2; ohmmeters 12 measuring an electric resistance value of an object in contact with the respective conductors 11; and a calculation mechanism 16. The calculation mechanism 16 determines a driver is in a state of contacting an intermediate portion between a pair of partition regions of the steering wheel 2 on condition that the paired partition regions for which it is determined that the driver contact the regions are adjacent.</p> |
