[Problem] To provide a rocker arm having improved friction performance and seizure-resisting performance in a rocker-arm-type valve mechanism of a four-stroke internal combustion engine. [Solution] In a rocker-arm-type valve mechanism of a four-stroke internal combustion engine, a rocker arm, which is one component constituting said valve mechanism, is configured from a body (110), a roller shaft (120), and two rollers including an inner ring roller (130) and an outer ring roller (140) supported on the roller shaft (120), for a total of four components, which all slide while slipping, wherein lubricating oil retention is improved, friction loss is reduced, and seizure resistance is improved by forming dimples in the sliding surface of the roller shaft (120), the inner ring roller (130), and/or the outer ring roller (140). A conventional rocker arm depends on splashed oil present in the atmosphere for lubrication, and therefore has poor lubricating oil retention, severe friction loss, and poor seizure resistance. |
