The present invention provides a system and a method to prevent collision capable of safely protecting a worker from a robot by preventing collision occurred in operation beforehand while the worker and robot share a common operation space. The system to prevent collision between a worker and a robot comprises: multiple sensors attached to a worker to provide position information such that information on the physical size and the movement of a relevant worker can be deducted; and a motion integration controller to generate a three-dimensional human-shaped model for a relevant worker by deducting the information on the physical size of the relevant worker through the position information of the multiple sensors and correcting a preset standard human model in which the deducted physical size information is reflected, combining the movement information with three-dimensional human-shaped model on the relevant worker generated by deducting the information on the movement of the relevant worker through the position information of the multiple sensors, and then predicting collision possibility between the worker and the robot using the three-dimensional human-shaped model on the relevant worker with which the movement information is combined. |
