PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a coating material for a solar battery module backsheet, which enables the formation of a coating film superior in its low water vapor permeability, weather resistance and adhesion with a material to be coated therewith and which enables the reduction in the weight of a solar battery module, and the simplification of a manufacturing process thereof; and a solar battery module backsheet; and a solar battery module.SOLUTION: A coating material for a solar battery module backsheet comprises: a fluorine-containing copolymer having a fluorine-containing olefin unit and a vinyl alcohol unit; a hardening agent; and a pigment.
