Provided is a method for manufacturing a marine hose which is equipped with a sponge layer while also having an excellent appearance. The present invention is characterised in that: the marine hose has at least a base hose (2), a sponge layer, a foam rubber layer, and a cover rubber layer (3); the sponge layer (A) is wound around the outside of the base hose (2), the foam rubber layer (B), which comprises an unvulcanised foam rubber composition, is wound around the outside of the sponge layer (A), and furthermore the cover rubber layer (3) is wound onto the outside thereof and vulcanised; the foam rubber composition is formed by combining 1.1-50 parts by mass of a foaming agent and 1.1-50 parts by mass of an auxiliary foaming agent with 100 parts by mass of a rubber component, the main component of which is at least one type of rubber selected from the group consisting of natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, chloroprene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, ethylene propylene diene rubber, and reclaimed rubber; and the foaming ratio of the foam rubber composition after vulcanisation is 1.1 or more. |
