A quartz vibrator according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes an AT-cut quartz vibrator piece and an electrode layer which is formed on the AT-cut quartz vibrator piece. The AT-cut quartz vibrator piece has a long side in a Y′ axis direction. A first crystalline surface and a second crystalline surface are formed on one side for the Y′ axis direction. The other side has a first crystalline surface and a second crystalline surface.
