<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a device, which is not a non-conforming machine, from being notified to a user as a machine to be used, when a non-conforming machine not conforming to a specific protocol used in a terminal device.SOLUTION: A first printing device 10 is a printer conforming to a discovery protocol such as Bonjour (registered trade mark) and AirPrint (registered trade mark), which is a wireless print system, and includes: a network input/output unit 11 that performs communication with a second printing device, which is a non-conforming machine not conforming to Bonjour and AirPrint, and performs communication with a portable terminal using a protocol such as IPP; a response function execution unit 16 that notifies an operator, when receiving a request of IdentifyPrinter from the portable terminal, of the position of the device if the request has been transmitted to the device, and does not notify the operator of the position of the device if the request has been transmitted to the non-conforming machine; and a job transfer unit 17 that transfers, to the non-conforming machine, an instruction of image formation to the non-conforming machine.</p> |
