摘要 The present invention relates to a bilge system for a ship with an improved initial pumping time. An objective of the present invention is to provide a bilge system for a ship capable of drastically reducing an initial pumping time spent when discharging a bilge using a flow of seawater of a fresh water cooling system to quickly form a vacuum in a bilge pipe. The bilge system for a ship with improved initial pumping time comprises: at least one bilge well (1) installed in a bottom of a ship; a branch bilge pipe (2) to transport a bilge stored in the bilge well (1); a main bilge pipe (3) to which the branch bilge pipe (2) is connected; one or more bilge pumps (4) connected to the main bilge pipe (3) to pump the bilge; and an oil and bilge separator (5) connected to any one of the bilge pumps (4), removing oil from the bilge containing the oil. A seawater branch pipe (12) is installed in a main bilge pipe (3), and branches off from a seawater pipe (11) connected to a front and a rear end of a fresh water cooler (10) of a fresh water cooling system of the ship. One end of a vacuum pipe (7) is connected to a vacuum ejector (13) installed in one point of the seawater branch pipe (12), and an other end of the vacuum pipe (7) connected to the seawater branch pipe (12) to form a vacuum in the main bilge pipe (3) in accordance to the flow of seawater.
