<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the working labor, and to control any excessive flame scarfing when removing any defect caused by the hand scarfing. <P>SOLUTION: A flame scarfing nozzle (11) is attached to a fore end of a blow pipe and used. A slit-like flame scarfing oxygen gas jet nozzle (13e) extending across a fore end face is formed on the fore end face along the radial direction of the flame scarfing nozzle.
