<p>A rotary connector includes a stationary housing (1) that includes an outer cylindrical body (21), and a movable housing (2) that is disposed coaxially with the stationary housing (1) and includes an inner cylindrical body (32) facing the outer cylindrical body (21). An annular space portion (5) is formed between the inner and outer cylindrical bodies (32, 21) facing each other and flat cables (3) are wound and received in the annular space portion (5). An internal gear (12), which is formed along an inner peripheral surface, is provided on the outer cylindrical body (21) of the stationary housing (1). A sun gear (10), which is formed along an outer peripheral surface, is provided on the inner cylindrical body (32) of the movable housing (2). A planetary gear (11), which meshes with both the sun gear (10) and the internal gear (12) and is movable along the inner surface of a bottom plate portion (26) of the stationary housing (1), is provided between the sun gear (10) and the internal gear (12). The planetary gear (11) and the sun gear (10) include a plurality of void portions (10e, 11e) in the circumferential direction at inner portions of the gears.</p> |
