PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, a copy control method, and a program that can attain a high copy speed at a low cost and flexibly enhance the performance of a printer even when the printer is replaced with a high-speed printer. SOLUTION: In the case of copying one original to produce a plurality of copies, while a read section 107 reads the original, sequentially converts the read image data into recordable print data by a color printer 119, transfers the print data to the color printer 119, which records the print data, an image memory 104 stores the print data, the print data stored in the image memory 104 are sequentially transferred to the color printer 119 to copy the print data for second and succeeding copies, and a CPU 101 of the image forming apparatus executes print data storage copy processing for making a plurality of copies according to a control program. |
