Embodiments relates to a method for determining a morphable 3D model comprising a set of example models, said method being executed by a morphable 3D model determining device and comprising:
- Obtaining 3D data specifying at least two example surfaces,
- Determining implicit surfaces corresponding to the example surfaces, wherein an implicit surface is defined by a 3D field function, wherein said implicit surface is an isosurface through the 3D field,
