<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission device which can reduce an excess portion in a transmission data block.SOLUTION: A data transmission device includes: a generation section; a transmission section; and a determination section. The generation section divides transmission data into the prescribed number of divisions in prescribed length units, redundantly encodes the divided transmission data in response to a prescribed redundant ratio and generates encoded data including blocks for redundancy and blocks except for redundancy. The transmission section sequentially stores and sends the individual blocks of the generated encoded data in the prescribed storage amount of transmission data blocks in block units. The determination section calculates the total amount of space areas for each transmission data block, which occur when the individual blocks of the encoded data are sequentially stored in the transmission data blocks in the block units, whenever the number of divisions is changed, and determines the number of divisions when the calculated total amount becomes a minimum as the prescribed number of divisions.</p> |
