PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery cell whose gas sealing member has improved sealability and whose gas sealing member does not easily deteriorate.SOLUTION: A fuel battery cell 1 comprises interconnectors (hereafter ICs) 3a and 3b, a cell body 6 having electrode faces 5a and 5b formed on both sides of an electrolyte 4, reaction gas chambers 7a and 7b, gas supply sections 8a and 8b, and exhaust sections 9a and 9b. One of the reaction gas chambers 7a and 7b includes a sealing wall 10 which is placed on the cell body 6 via a gas sealing member 11 at an edge thereof on the opposite side of the exhaust sections 9a and 9b. Further, the gas supply sections 8a and 8b corresponding to the reaction gas chambers 7a and 7b are designed so that reaction gas flows out of a gas outflow port 15 near the sealing wall 10 toward the cell body 6 and in a direction interesting it. Between the cell body 6 and the gas outflow port 15 is provided seal protection means 17 which receives reaction gas flowing out of the gas outflow port 15 and changes the flow of the reaction gas to an exhaust section direction or a direction along the wall surface of the sealing wall 10. |
