<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an exhaust gas sensor to accurately detect the condition of exhaust gas without being broken or damaged and without obstructing the flow of exhaust gas.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas sensor 43 for detecting the condition of exhaust gas is mounted to an exhaust system 33. In an exhaust gas sensor mounting structure of a motorcycle, the exhaust system 33 comprises an exhaust gas chamber 35 which has exhaust emission control means built in for controlling exhaust emission of the exhaust gas. The exhaust gas chamber 35 is connected to an exhaust pipe 34 extending from an exhaust port 30 of an engine 20, and has a tapered portion 38 expanding to a downstream side and an exhaust emission control chamber 39 continuing to the downstream side of the tapered portion 38. The exhaust gas sensor 43 is mounted to the tapered portion 38 of the exhaust gas chamber 35 in a state of being inclined obliquely upward to a vehicle front side. A detection part of the exhaust gas sensor 43 is situated at a position deviated from the main flow of an exhaust gas flow in the inside of the exhaust gas chamber 35.</p> |
