<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide having high optical coupling efficiency with a light receiving/emitting element, and enabling optical communication with high quality, and to provide an opto-electric hybrid substrate and an electronic apparatus including the optical waveguide and having high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: An optical waveguide 1 is formed by laminating a clad layer 111, a core layer 13 and a clad layer 112 in this order from the bottom. The core layer 13 comprises: a core part 14; a side surface clad part 15a provided so as to be adjacent to a side surface of the core part 14; an edge surface clad part 15b provided on an extension line of the core part 14; and a low refractive-index layer 145 provided between the core part 14 and the edge surface clad part 15b, and having a refractive index lower than that of the edge surface clad part 15b. The optical waveguide 1 has mirrors (light reflection surfaces) 161 and 162 formed by the inner wall surface of a recess 160 provided in the edge surface clad part 15b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
