摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine that implements a substantially sinusoidal gap flux density distribution between a rotor and a stator when increasing/decreasing the magnetism of a variable intensity magnet. <P>SOLUTION: The permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine includes a stator and a rotor. The stator has armature windings. The rotor has a rotor core, a first permanent magnet and second permanent magnets. The first permanent magnet is embedded in the rotor core. The second permanent magnets are arranged on both sides of the first permanent magnet where they have a flux content irreversibly variable with changing magnetization state in a magnetic field formed when the armature windings are energized. The rotor core has near the second permanent magnets peripheral bridges having magnetic paths where magnetic fluxes of the second permanent magnets short-circuit and having such a width as not to saturate the flux densities of the magnetic paths in the rotor core. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
