<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate design of a junction between an upper chord member and a lower chord member, while reducing the cost for a string beam. <P>SOLUTION: A string beam 1 comprises: an upper chord member 10 consisting of an H-shaped steel; a lower chord member 22 consisting of a flat steel and bonded to each of both end parts of the upper chord member 10; and a strut 25 for connecting the upper chord member 10 and each lower chord member 22. In an end of the upper chord member 10, a lower flange 13 is formed shorter than an upper flange 12 and a web 11; the web 11 is cut diagonally along the material axis direction of the lower chord member 22, in a side view from a direction perpendicular to the axis of the web; the end part of the lower chord member 22 is welded to the lower edge of a portion obliquely cut in the web 11 of the upper chord member 10; and an oblique stiffener 27 is welded to each of the web 11 and the lower chord member 22 such that the stiffener 27 is extended in a direction in which an angle between the stiffener 27 and the tensile direction of the lower chord member 22 with a joint end 27a between the stiffener 27 and the lower chord member 22 as a center is larger than 90 degrees. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
